Our Story

Rapport Real Estate was founded spontaneously while sitting at a kitchen table.

Dave Dail comes from humble beginnings and a background in sales. He has a passion for working hard, building a strong rapport with others, and chasing after his goals. With his entrepreneurial mindset, it would only be a matter of time before Dave wanted to begin his business venture. Dave and his business partner, Laura Weldon, frequently tossed around the idea of starting a brokerage. It wasn't until one conversation at a dining table before Christmas that the decision was ultimately made to begin the company.

Meet The Team

Dave Dail

Founder and Realtor

Dave Dail is a real estate agent and broker in Moscow, Idaho. As a Moscow native, he enjoys meeting people, helping them settle, and getting acquainted with Idaho. After four years in real estate, Dave is among the top 10% realtors, with word-of-mouth referrals being his main lead source.

In addition to being a full-time real estate agent, Dave is also an active real estate investor. He owns multiple properties and has experience with home renovations.

Dave holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Arizona State and spent some extensive time abroad studying in Italy. He got his real estate license in 2018. Continuing education is a priority for Dave as he has multiple certificates and over 300 hours of real estate education outside of what is required by the state. The certifications include: Accredited Buyers Representative, Pricing Strategy Advisor, Military Relocation Professional, and more.

Family is Dave's #1 priority. You'll often find him out and about with Meggie and their kids. He's also an avid outdoorsman. If he's not with his family or in the forest, you may find him in the gym, on the basketball court, or overseas in Europe.

Laura Weldon

Realtor

Laura Weldon is a proud mother of three children, with one attending (University of Idaho and two attending Moscow High School). She spent (15 years as a stay at home mom) and homeschooled her children for seven years. A resident of the Moscow area since 2003, she briefly lived in the Netherlands for 18 months until the COVID-19 pandemic brought her back to the US earlier than planned.

Growing up in Vancouver, Washington, Laura is an alumna of Washington State University (WSU). (She graduated in May of 2007 with her B.A. and welcomed her first child that August).

Dave and Laura met in 2019 when he helped sell her home in order to move to Europe. Dave later facilitated the purchase of a new home sight unseen when they returned 3.5 years early due to the pandemic. She particularly liked how Dave treated her as a client, and solved problems for her during two incredibly stressful transitions.

Laura began doing web work for Dave in early 2022 and obtained her professional license in August of the same year with his support. Since then, she has been instrumental in helping Dave establish two brokerages, and together they now own a property management company located in Moscow.

One of the things she likes about real estate is that oftentimes, clients become friends and family- and then work doesn't feel so much like work. She enjoys spending time with her kids, friends, meeting new people, reading, walking/hiking, traveling, baking and spending time in the gym.
